Brian Lapointe, Ph.D. research over the past two decades has focused on the impacts of land-based nutrient pollution on the health of seagrass & coral reef ecosystems. Lapointe HAB LAB @harborbranch Recent support has allowed additional studies of how nutrient pollution from septic systems are discharged where they can support the growth of HABs. Dr. Lapointe has authored over 90 publications in the field of algal physiology, biochemistry, & ecology and is internationally recognized for his work.
